I was delighted to welcome a studio visitor today - a lovely lady who fell in love with Restless Edge 5 (above). It's all wrapped up and on its way to its forever home. I was back in Pembrokeshire last week making studies as I walked the coastal path. There is so much there to inspire me and I'm looking forward to some studio time to make further pieces for the Restless Edge series.

Still Life, pears, jugs and mugs, opaque areas, layers, scraping back and discovering textures. Working onto small gessoed boards and in a series has brought about development in my process. Although I love landscape there are times when I need to change horses and investigate another genre. This recharges the creative batteries and has leads me to new ideas.
It has been a busy year for me and this looks to continue as I shall be showing new work in October with the Abstract Edge group in Shrewsbury. I'll post the details as soon as they are finalised.
I'm thrilled to be putting together a collection of paintings that Little Van Gogh will exhibit for me. I hope that by the end of August or early September my work will be going out into the world to be placed in offices and public areas of companies in major UK cities - and maybe even Europe. I recognise that the gallery experience is not always a comfortable one for new art collectors and having this opportunity to make some of my paintings more accessible is very exciting indeed.
Restless Edge 3 (below) is one of 10 paintings in the Little Van Gogh collection Looking forward to the next show now. I have the two pieces below in this group exhibition and will be stewarding on the afternoon of 25 May if you would like to come along and say hello.
